Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist in Charge experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Step into a leadership role in a specialty retail pharmacy as the Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) managing a dedicated team of two pharmacy technicians. This interim PIC position offers the opportunity to apply your expertise in a hands-on environment, ensuring smooth and compliant pharmacy operations. The role is available on a contract or contract-to-hire basis.
Location: Semmes, AL
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily pharmacy activities, ensuring regulatory compliance and operational efficiency
- Lead and support pharmacy technicians to deliver high-quality patient care
- Manage inventory and oversee dispensing procedures in a specialty retail setting
- Utilize the New Leaf system for pharmacy operations
- Maintain accurate records, including those related to compounding and dispensing
- Promote a safe and effective non-sterile compounding environment, focusing on creams and gels (preferred)
Desired Qualifications:
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience as a Pharmacy Manager or PIC
- Strong knowledge of retail pharmacy operations and regulatory requirements
- Experience with non-sterile compounding of creams and gels is highly valued
- Proficiency with the New Leaf pharmacy system or similar software
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
