Qualifications:

• Current and active Alabama K-12 Special Education Teacher licensure
• Previous experience working with elementary or middle school-aged students preferred
• Ability to manage a caseload within self-contained or collaborative environments
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with both colleagues and families
• Demonstrated commitment to supporting diverse learning needs

Responsibilities:

• Provide instruction and individualized support to students with varying abilities
• Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) tailored to student strengths and needs
• Collaborate with general education teachers and related service providers to maximize student success
• Maintain consistent communication with families and staff regarding goals and progress
• Utilize effective classroom management strategies to foster a positive learning environment
• Document student progress and participate in regular team meetings
