EARNING POTENTIAL: $38K - $100K+* *Pay will be determined by your skill level, experience, and knowledge as an Automotive Technician.

The Automotive Technician at Greenville Chrysler Dodge Jeep RAM is responsible for diagnosing and repairing various automotive issues. This role requires a strong understanding of automotive systems, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work efficiently and effectively.

Responsibilities:

• Performing diagnostic tests to identify vehicle problems
• Repairing and replacing parts on vehicles
• Conducting routine maintenance and inspections
• Test driving vehicles to ensure proper functionality
• Documenting all work performed and parts used
• Communicating with customers regarding vehicle issues and repairs
• Keeping up-to-date with industry advancements and new technologies

Requirements:

• Proven experience as an Automotive Technician or similar role
• In-depth knowledge of automotive systems and repairs
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Excellent manual dexterity
• Ability to operate and use automotive diagnostic equipment
• Good communication and customer service skills
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver's license

QUALIFICATIONS:

• 2+ years of Technician experience Preferred

• ASE or equivalent Certification Preferred

• Chrysler Certification is a Bonus

• A-level qualifications, including Diagnostic, Electrical and Engine Repair

• Broad knowledge of new vehicle technologies

• Knowledge in all aspects of automotive repair and maintenance

• Fast, eager learner and team player

• Computer skills and willingness to learn new problems

• Ambitious, hardworking presence in a team environment

• Excellent customer service skills

• Positive, friendly attitude, along with a customer service mentality

• Enjoy working in a dynamic environment

• Ability to collaborate effectively

• Ability to learn new technology, repair and service procedures and specifications

• Able to operate electronic diagnostic equipment

• Valid driver's license and clean driving record (Required)

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with the dealership

• Test drive vehicles, and test components and systems, using diagnostic tools and special service equipment

• Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle automotive systems

• Communicate directly with the Service Advisor so that customers can be informed if any additional service is needed

• Provide estimates of time needed for additional repairs

• Execute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications
