Property Accountability Specialist

Location: Huntsville, AL

CGI is seeking a highly skilled Supply and Property Accountability Specialist to join our team. This role involves advising on and interpreting laws, regulations, policies, and standards related to supply and property accountability. The specialist will manage over 1,500 line items of equipment, conduct studies, and provide logistical support to ensure compliance and efficiency in property management.

Your future duties and responsibilities:
-Advise on and interpret laws, regulations, policies, and standards, and recommend changes as required.
-Develop, analyze, evaluate, and promote improvements in supply and property accountability in accordance with regulations and directives.
-Conduct studies on internal property accountability and manage equipment located on Redstone Arsenal.
-Provide logistical building support and analyze policies concerning maintenance and overhaul of facilities.
-Serve as a technical and staff specialist on facility-related initiatives, including budgetary data preparation and defense.
-Maintain accurate information for ELMS and ASTS, and work with Supply Support Activity (SSA) for requisitions and accountability.
-Troubleshoot issues related to new material requirements in a research and development environment.
-Develop and improve the SHIELD property accountability program, including local policies and procedures.
-Maintain detailed knowledge of Army-mandated programs and systems to assist in achieving program goals.
-Coordinate, evaluate, and edit work prepared by others into a consistent product.
-Communicate effectively orally and in writing, and operate a desktop PC with various software programs

Clearance Requirement: DOD Secret Clearance Required

Education Requirement: Bachelor's Degree

Experience Requirements: 15 years logistician experience required

Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Defense Property Accountability System (DPAS).
- Familiarity with Army VANTAGE and Army Enterprise Systems Integration Platform (AESIP).
- Knowledge of Logistics Modernization Program (LMP).
- Proficiency in Automated Scan Tracking System (ASTS).
-Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
-Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
-Ability to negotiate and maintain rapport in property accountability acceptance.
-Flexibility and tact in dealing with complex problems and diverse groups.
-This position requires a proactive individual with a strong understanding of property accountability programs and the ability to manage and improve processes effectively.

CGI is required by law in some jurisdictions to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $50,800.00 - $108,300.00.
