Posting Name: Structural Designer III

Schedule: M – T, 6:00 AM – 3:30 PM and Friday, 6:00 AM – 10:00 AM

Join the Birdon team and help ensure USCG boats are safe and reliable! 

Our Structural Designers are an integral piece of our work on a daily basis.  Some of your daily functions will include:

• Check the work of junior structural designers.
• Develop 3D structural models, associated 2D Production assembly drawings, and associated CAM information for existing and new products.
• Ensure the quality of structural design models and drawings.
• Incorporate build strategy and design for production into structural design.
• Create details to assist manufacturing installation and assembly (e.g. jigs and fixtures).
• Integration of structural design with mechanical, electrical, and outfitting.
• Assist engineers in the development of structural standards and weld drawings.
• Develop and maintain structural CAD drafting standards.

If you have at least 10 years’ experience of structural designing, possess a High School Diploma or GED and fundamental knowledge in marine or manufacturing industry, we want to talk to you!
