About the Role
We are an Independent Pharmacy that is a patient-focused pharmacy committed to excellence in medication care, regulatory compliance, and team development. We are seeking a dedicated Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) to lead our pharmacy team, ensure operational excellence, and provide outstanding patient care.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead daily pharmacy operations, including prescription verification, inventory, and order management.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local pharmacy regulations.
- Supervise, train, and mentor pharmacy staff, ensuring licenses and certifications are current.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional pharmacy environment.
- Monitor profitability, patient programs, and clinical outcomes (MTM/EQUIPP).
- Review high-risk reports and address operational gaps promptly.
- Communicate operational needs and regulatory issues to administration effectively.
Qualifications:
- Active pharmacist license in Alabama.
- Minimum of 1 year of pharmacy experience; prior management or supervisory experience preferred.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Knowledge of pharmacy regulations, compliance, and operational best practices.
