Survey CAD Tech

Job Description A CAD Tech (CT) coordinates with project managers on specific projects. CTs help researching deeds and plats for projects. CTs coordinate with field crews on work to be performed and work that has been performed. Process field data and notes to be imported into CAD. Run a series of calculations for the boundary and location work. Plot deeds and title exceptions. - Support Survey Department in organizing and coordinating projects including a broad range of assignments requiring knowledge of research and computation associated with land surveying/mapping. - Complete Survey schedules to assure surveys are completed on-time. - Assist field survey staff in maintaining proper documentation necessary for research, change orders, field notebooks, time sheets, project records. - Drafting Boundary, Topographic, ALTA, Foundation and Final Surveys - Writing legal descriptions We are a company committed to creating diverse and inclusive environments where people can bring their full, authentic selves to work every day. (Engineering CAD techs usually are not good candidates for this position) - Experience in conducting Boundary and ALTA Surveys - Experience in processing Topographic Surveys - Experience in processing, performing closures and conducting adjustments on field data collected - Experience in preparing Final Plats (Record Maps) - Skilled in Microsoft Excel and its use for a planning and reporting tool. - Experience in Carlson Software, AutoCAD or Civil 3D - Minimum 1 Year Drafting Experience
