Job Description

As a Security Officer - Tech Sector Screener in Madison, AL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Screener in a dynamic tech, media, and telecom location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents while delivering outstanding customer service. Your presence and communication skills will contribute to a welcoming atmosphere as you check credentials and manage access control. What You'll Do:

• Screen individuals entering the location by verifying identification and/or credentials in accordance with site-specific procedures.
• Monitor entry and exit points to help to deter unauthorized access and report any suspicious activity to appropriate personnel.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with employees, visitors, and contractors while upholding site-specific protocols.
• Support emergency response activities by following established procedures and assisting first responders as needed.
• Maintain detailed records of observations, incidents, and activities related to security-related matters.
• Provide customer service in a professional manner and respond to inquiries while maintaining confidentiality of sensitive information.
• Assist with the implementation of security-related procedures and policies specific to a technology and media environment.

Minimum Requirements:

• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Experience in loss prevention is preferred.
• A valid Guard Card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
