Degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A highly supportive school district near Birmingham, Alabama is seeking a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join its team for the upcoming school year. This is an excellent opportunity to work alongside an experienced, collaborative special education team while making a meaningful impact on students across a variety of school settings.

Position Highlights
Full-time schedule: 32.5–37.5 hours per week
Flexible part-time opportunities available
W-2 contract position for the full school year
Elementary, middle, or high school caseloads based on district needs and your experience
Collaborative team environment with mentorship available for Clinical Fellows
Primary Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations and assessments
Develop and implement individualized therapy plans
Create measurable IEP goals and monitor student progress
Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams
Maintain accurate and compliant documentation
Provide direct and indirect speech-language services to students
Qualifications
Active Alabama Speech-Language Pathologist license (or eligibility to obtain)
Alabama Department of Education certification or eligibility for school-based practice
ASHA CCC-SLP preferred; Clinical Fellows (CFYs) encouraged to apply
Previous school-based or pediatric experience preferred
Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
Positive professional references from the past two years
