Job Description

As a Security Officer - Bicycle Patrol in Tuscaloosa, AL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will assist staff, patients, and visitors with courteous communication, respond to calls for service, and document observations clearly. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by following Allied Universal protocols, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including medical facility disturbances, disorderly behavior, and access control concerns, while coordinating with clinical staff and/or local responders as directed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of corridors, common areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations; working environments and conditions may vary by assignment.
• Monitor entrances, restricted areas, and sensitive departments, assisting with visitor management, key and/or badge control processes, and reporting access issues according to post orders.
• Document and report security-related incidents, hazards, and unusual activity using the required reporting tools, maintaining clear communication with supervisors and site personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

• A Guard Card and/or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
