Job Overview
The Retail Store Associate is responsible for providing excellent customer service, maintaining store appearance, and supporting daily store operations. This role plays a key part in creating a positive shopping experience and driving sales.
Job Responsibilities:
- Greet customers promptly and assist with product selection and inquiries
- Provide knowledgeable information about products, promotions, and store policies
- Process transactions accurately using the point-of-sale (POS) system
- Handle cash, credit, and returns in accordance with company procedures
- Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked sales floor
- Assist with merchandising, displays, and inventory replenishment
- Monitor inventory levels and report shortages or discrepancies
- Support opening and closing store procedures
- Resolve customer concerns in a professional and timely manner
- Work collaboratively with team members to meet sales goals
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous retail or customer service experience is a plus
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Basic math skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Ability to lift and carry up to 2550 lbs as needed
- Frequent walking, bending, and reaching
Work Environment
- Retail store setting with moderate noise levels
- May involve working during peak hours, weekends, and holidays
