As a **Security Officer - Retail Bike Patrol Specialist** in **Birmingham, AL** , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more.
Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a vibrant retail and mall location, where you'll monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents while providing outstanding customer service. **What You'll Do:**
+ Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
+ Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
+ Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
+ Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
+ Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise
**Responsibilities:**
+ Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergencies as needed.
+ Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly and with a problem-solving approach.
+ Conduct regular and random patrols around the retail or mall location, including both the interior business areas and the perimeter, to help to deter unwanted activity and/or unauthorized access.
+ Maintain a visible presence throughout the location to support a welcoming environment while helping to deter disruptive behavior.
+ Communicate and collaborate with clients, visitors, and Allied Universal team members to support a positive environment and address concerns as they arise.
+ Document and report all incidents, observations, and activities according to Allied Universal and site-specific protocols.

+ Reliability and ability to adapt to different post assignments

+ Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available
**Minimum Requirements:**
+ Able to ride a bike for long periods of time.
+ Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
+ Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
