About the Position
Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Med Surg Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 19:00-07:00 Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 1 year of recent experience in the field of specialty, with a preference for 18 months of experience working under the highest level of professional license. License: Registered Nurse license in the state or compact license. Certifications: BLS or Red Cross certification required. Must-Have: Must be willing to float to other units. Description: This position requires a registered nurse for a trauma surgical unit. The unit primarily cares for acute care trauma and surgical patient populations. Nurses have a 1:6 patient ratio and specialize in an interdisciplinary team approach to each patient's specific needs. The staff are experts in trauma, as well as orthopedic and urology patients. This unit provides individualized attention to all patients hospitalized for illness, surgery, testing, or observation. Collaboration with family practice physicians, hospitalists, and a variety of surgical specialists is highly valued. Nurses must be available for weekends and holidays as required. The position may require floating to other units and hospitals as necessary.
