General Dynamics Mission Systems is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CMM Programmer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) programs to ensure the highest quality standards in our manufacturing processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in metrology experience with CMM programming, and a keen eye for precision and accuracy.KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop, write, and optimize CMM programs for inspecting complex components and assemblies
- Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and GD&T to create accurate measurement plans
- Conduct first article, in-process, and final inspections using CMM
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to CMM programming and measurement processes
- Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams to ensure compliance with quality standards
- Maintain and update CMM programs as needed to support production changes
- Document inspection results and maintain accurate records
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES:
- Proficiency in using CMM software such as PC-DMIS, Calypso, or similar
- Experience in a defense or aerospace manufacturing environment
- Certification in metrology or related fields
