Laborer
Body Installer Needed in Tuscaloosa!
Responsibilities:
- Cut, shape, and weld metal parts (aluminum/steel) using MIG/TIG welders, shears, brakes, and grinders to create custom bodies, brackets, and bumpers.
- Mount truck bodies, equipment, and accessories, including hydraulic pumps, valves, PTOs, and 12V electrical components.
- Read blueprints and technical diagrams to assemble, align, and fasten components using bolts, rivets, or welds.
- Inspect finished assemblies to ensure structural integrity and compliance with design specifications.
- Maintain shop tools and equipment, and ensure a clean, safe, and organized workspace.
Preferred Skills & Qualifications:
- Knowledge of MIG/TIG welding, metal fabrication techniques, and using power tools (die grinders, plasma cutters).
- Ability to read and interpret complex blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders.
- Basic understanding of hydraulic systems and 12V wiring, especially for truck equipment.
- High school diploma or GED required, along with vocational training or relevant experience in automotive body repair or manufacturing.
