A Hotel Sales Manager is responsible for generating revenue for a hotel through proactive selling, relationship building, account management, and securing group, corporate, and local business opportunities. The role is focused on increasing occupancy, ADR, and overall hotel profitability.
Compensation:$25 hourly
Responsibilities:Sales Manager
Account Management
- Manage existing corporate accounts and grow share of wallet
- Conduct outside sales calls and client visits
- Negotiate local negotiated rates (LNRs), group rates, and contracts
- Maintain relationships with travel managers, planners, and local businesses
Group & Meeting Sales
- Respond to RFPs, leads, and meeting inquiries quickly
- Conduct hotel site tours for potential clients
- Coordinate with operations for group arrivals and events
- Maximize meeting space and catering opportunities (if applicable)
Prospecting & Sales Activity
- Cold call and solicit new accounts
- Attend networking events, chambers, and community functions
- Maintain weekly activity goals (calls, appointments, site tours)
- Build a pipeline for future business
- Experience in hospitality sales with a focus on local negotiations
- Hilton System Knowledge
- Ability to conduct effective outside sales calls and build strong community networks
- Proven track record of managing and responding to sales inquiries, RFPs, and group leads promptly
- Skill in negotiating rates, contracts, and group agreements
- Proficiency in maintaining accurate account activity, production tracking, and pipeline reporting
- Ability to collaborate with revenue management to support ADR and occupancy goals
- Experience serving as Manager on Duty, including evenings and weekends as needed, is a plus
