Job Summary:
As a Teller at Tuscaloosa VA Federal Credit Union, you will be the face of our company, providing excellent customer service while handling a variety of financial transactions accurately and efficiently. You will play a critical role in helping customers meet their financial needs and educating them about our products and services.
Key Responsibilities:
Greet and assist customers in a courteous and professional manner
Process routine transactions such as deposits, withdrawals, payments, and check cashing
Balance cash drawer daily and ensure all transactions are processed accurately
Identify customer needs and refer them to appropriate banking staff or services
Maintain and follow all security procedures and compliance regulations
Resolve customer inquiries and concerns efficiently and professionally
All other duties assigned by management
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required
Previous cash handling or customer service experience preferred
Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately with numbers
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Basic computer skills and familiarity with banking software is a plus
