Job Summary
A Senior Human Resource Generalist is an experienced HR professional who manages a wide range of HR functions, including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, payroll processing, and compliance with labor laws and regulations. They act as a vital link between employees and management, often providing guidance on HR policies and procedures, while also administering HR programs, coordinating training, and maintaining Human Resource Information Systems.
Job Description
- Coordinate and facilitate full-cycle recruitment (recruitment, onboarding, offboarding)
- Maintains HRIS (ADP)
- Ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations
- Provides counsel and support to employees/managers/supervisors on HR policy application and production
- Conduct ER investigations and work with leadership team to execute plans to address problem areas
- Creates and develops models sustaining positive employee relations and positive culture building
- Performance Management
- Training and Development
- Creates and implements effective SOPs, policies and procedures
- Collaborate with Senior Leadership to align with business goals
- Provides HR support to operations safety programs, initiatives and processes
- Processes FMLA, Workers Compensation, TWC programs
- Manage entire payroll cycle (data entry, calculations, and ensuring accurate timely disbursement)
- Some travel may be required
Skills Required
- 5+ years of related work experience
- Self-sufficient
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Understanding of payroll processes and regulations
- Skilled at conflict resolution
- High discretion and ethics
- Organizational skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Team player. Able to communicate and relate well with others
Education/Training/Certifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in HR, Business, or related field
Additional Requirements
- Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Occasional lifting of office supplies or equipment up to 20 pounds
- Ability to move around the office for daily tasks and meetings
