Job Description

The Quality Control Manager – Low Voltage is responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing a comprehensive quality compliance program for low-voltage services. This role ensures that all service operations, facility management programs, and technical maintenance activities meet the highest standards of safety, compliance, and performance across complex, mission‑critical environments such as data centers, hospitals, and aviation facilities.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and oversee the quality compliance program for low-voltage services across facility operations and maintenance activities.
  • Conduct regular audits of service delivery, facility operations, and technical maintenance programs to ensure compliance with company, client, and regulatory requirements.
  • Lead compliance and quality review meetings and produce clear, actionable outcomes that drive continuous improvement.
  • Review compliance data, reports, and corrective action plans, ensuring timely and effective resolution of issues and nonconformances.
  • Maintain and update compliance logs, audit findings, and corrective actions in accordance with company standards and client expectations.
  • Coordinate with third-party auditors, regulators, and clients on quality and compliance-related matters, representing the organization in a professional and knowledgeable manner.
  • Provide training, guidance, and coaching to managers, field staff, and technical teams on compliance requirements, quality standards, and best practices.
  • Participate in regional and corporate initiatives to standardize and enhance compliance frameworks across the services business unit.
  • Track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to quality and compliance, and develop clear, data-driven reports for leadership on performance, risk areas, and improvement opportunities.
  • Partner closely with Regional Directors, Site Managers, and technical staff to establish quality and compliance goals, monitor progress, and adjust strategies as needed.
  • Support quality control efforts on commercial construction projects, with a focus on low-voltage scopes in data centers, hospitals, aviation, and other complex facilities.
  • Collaborate with project and construction management teams to integrate quality control processes into ongoing operations, maintenance, and lifecycle upgrade activities.
Essential Skills
  • Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 5–10 years of industry experience in a Quality Control role.
  • At least 1 year of experience in services, construction, maintenance, or operations contracts.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with trades, peers, supervisors, and client-facing stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a high-performing, mobile team.
  • Working knowledge of facilities operations and building systems.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Project, Word, and SharePoint.
  • Ability to read, comprehend, and communicate technical and compliance-related information clearly.
  • Experience with quality control in commercial construction and low-voltage environments.
  • Strong safety mindset and commitment to maintaining high safety and compliance standards.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience with low-voltage systems in mission-critical environments such as data centers, hospitals, aviation facilities, or similar complex projects.
  • Experience in construction management or working within commercial construction settings.
  • Exposure to data center construction or large-scale mission-critical projects.
  • Preferred certifications such as RCDD, CCNA, CCDA, RTPM, or a combination of these credentials.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in managing compliance documentation, logs, and audit records.
  • Ability to lead meetings, present findings, and influence stakeholders toward continuous improvement.
  • Comfort working in a hybrid environment that blends construction, operations, and client-facing responsibilities.
  • Interest in long-term career growth into senior superintendent, project management, or mission-critical specialist roles.
Work Environment

This role operates within a services division focused on facility operations, maintenance, and lifecycle upgrades for mission‑critical clients rather than new ground-up construction. The team steps in once facilities are operational, managing ongoing improvements, system upgrades, low-voltage scopes, and fast-paced technical projects that keep critical environments running. You will work primarily on large-scale data center projects, including billion‑dollar programs, as well as other complex commercial facilities such as hospitals and aviation-related environments. The work environment features steady, long‑term engagements with repeat clients, especially in data centers and federal facilities, and smaller, agile project teams that offer greater autonomy and hands-on decision-making. You will gain exposure to highly technical systems, including low voltage, security, fiber, networking, and building management systems (BMS). The role blends field presence in active facilities and project sites with office and remote work for planning, reporting, and coordination, using tools such as Microsoft Excel, Project, Word, and SharePoint. The culture emphasizes safety, quality, collaboration, and clear growth paths into senior superintendent, project management, or mission‑critical specialist positions.
