Physical Therapist - Travel Contract

Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor‘s, Master‘s, or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program approved by the APTA.
- Active Alabama state PT license required to start the assignment.
- BLS certification required. Acceptable from AHA or ARC.
- Minimum 1 year of clinical experience accepted. Client will consider first-time travelers with at least 2 years of experience; acute care experience preferred.
- Experience in acute care, med/surg, ICU, or emergency department environments preferred. Willingness to be trained and to learn if lacking acute care experience.
- Comfort working with general med/surg populations, some ICU patients, and treating ED patients when necessary.
- Ability to manage caseloads typically in the range of 8-10 patients per therapist and complete up to 15 evaluation/treatment units per day.
- Proficiency with Cerner/PowerChart EMR preferred.
- Demonstrated adaptability, coachability, and ability to function as a team player. Candidates must be willing to float to any area within the hospital including med/surg, ICU, and ED.
- Required orientation participation: 3-day departmental orientation with initial 1:1 support from a Rehab Aide during early shifts.
- MSPT or DPT degree listed as required per client documentation.
- Preferred: prior experience working with rehab aides and familiarity with shared-aide workflows.

- Caseload may include general med/surg, ICU, and ED patients. Floating across hospital areas is expected.
