Job Description
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the general upkeep and maintenance of the plant. This includes electrical systems, pipes, boilers, presses, mills, mixers, extruders, and overall plant care. The role requires expertise in troubleshooting and preventive maintenance.
Responsibilities
- Maintain machines and plant equipment, including molds, presses, mills, and boilers.
- Move equipment and machinery as needed.
- Monitor boiler operation and perform minor corrections.
- Conduct plant rounds and check designated areas consistently.
- Communicate with production personnel regarding mold changes and repairs.
- Maintain work area cleanliness and adhere to general housekeeping requirements.
- Correct electrical and mechanical problems, reporting major concerns to supervisors.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Essential Skills
- Troubleshooting electrical and mechanical systems.
- PLC troubleshooting and maintenance.
- Understanding of hydraulics and pneumatics.
- Ability to read blueprints and schematics.
- Basic communication skills and ability to follow directions.
- Ability to operate and maintain equipment safely.
- Self-management, prioritization, and multi-tasking skills.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum of 2 years of job-related experience.
- Experience in designing and programming industrial control systems and robotic controls.
- Familiarity with wiring layouts, labeling, and cable management.

Work Environment
This role operates in a non-climate-controlled indoor manufacturing environment, with shifts from 3-11 pm, Monday through Friday . Initial training will occur during the day shift until the technician is ready to work independently. The environment includes working with Tow Motors, lift trucks, man lifts, computers, and various office equipment.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Tuscumbia, AL.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $25.00 - $38.00/hr.
