As a Security Officer Medical Patrol in Birmingham, AL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, support a welcoming environment, and help to deter security-related incidents through visible presence and strong communication. In this dynamic role, you will provide customer service, respond to site needs, and work with a team that values being agile, reliable, innovative, and guided by integrity.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns through appropriate channels.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and public areas, assisting with visitor screening procedures, directional support, and other security-related duties aligned with the needs of a healthcare environment.
• Support Allied Universal standards by maintaining a visible presence, communicating professionally with staff and/or guests, and following post orders for routine and emergency situations.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must be able to meet hospital vaccination requirements.
• This position is located in a hospital setting and may involve work in or around the morgue.
• The client requires proof of a high school diploma or GED.
• Must be able to restrain individuals, as required in a hospital environment.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
