Position Description: An Auto Mechanic job description typically involves inspecting, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining vehicles to ensure optimal performance and safety. Mechanics work on engines, transmissions, brakes, suspensions, and electrical systems, using tools and equipment to identify and resolve issues.Identifying vehicle problems using diagnostic tools and equipment, including computerized systems.
Repairs:
Performing various repairs, including replacing parts, adjusting components,Conducting routine maintenance tasks like oil changes, tire rotations, and fluid checks.
Tool and Equipment Maintenance:
Ensuring tools and equipment are in good working order and properly stored.
Safety:
Following safety protocols when handling vehicles, tools, and chemicals.
Continuous Learning:
Skills and Qualifications:
Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and electronic components of vehicles.Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to analyze issues and develop effective solutions.
Communication Skills: Ability to effectively communicate with customers and coworkers.
Manual Dexterity: Ability to perform tasks requiring hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills.
Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for extended periods and work in various positions.
Safety Awareness: Understanding and adhering to safety procedures.
Experience: Previous experience as a mechanic or in a related field $19.00 - $22.00 Hourly
