Electrical Designer (Industrial Projects)
Locations: Greenville, SC or Birmingham, AL office

Overview:
Genesis is seeking Electrical Designers and Electrical Engineers for our engineering and construction organization to support large-scale industrial projects. This team specializes in delivering high-quality solutions for complex facilities within sectors such as pulp and paper, power generation, and chemical processing.

This is an excellent opportunity for professionals with 5–20 years of experience who are looking to contribute to dynamic, technically challenging projects while growing within a well-established, privately held company known for long-term stability and career advancement.

Key Disciplines & Requirements:

Civil / Structural Engineering & Design

• Experience with structural analysis and design for industrial facilities
• Proficiency in BIM tools and software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and STAAD
• Design experience with concrete and steel structures

Mechanical / Piping Engineering & Design

• Strong background in piping design and layout for industrial systems
• Experience with pipe stress analysis and hydraulic calculations
• Proficiency with Autodesk Plant 3D or similar tools

Electrical Engineering & Design

• Experience in power distribution systems for industrial environments
• Ability to develop motor elementaries, wiring diagrams, and construction packages
• Proficiency in AutoCAD

Instrumentation & Controls Engineering & Design

• Experience developing P&IDs, loop sheets, and instrument specifications
• Knowledge of valve sizing and control systems
• Ability to produce detailed construction packages using AutoCAD

Chemical / Process Engineering

• Experience developing P&IDs and performing process calculations
• Familiarity with process modeling tools such as WinGEMS or Aspen
• Ability to support design development for industrial systems

Project Management

• Experience with Front-End Loading (FEL) and project development phases
• Ability to manage engineering budgets and project schedules
• Strong coordination and leadership skills across multi-discipline teams

Industry Experience:

• Background in heavy industrial environments required
• Experience in pulp & paper, power generation, or chemical processing strongly preferred
