Step into a vital role supporting students' educational journeys during the Extended School Year! This contract position offers a unique opportunity for a dedicated School Psychologist to provide compensatory services throughout the Birmingham area. The assignment runs from June 15th through July 30th, 2026, focusing on in-person support—virtual or remote services are not part of this contract.

Key Qualifications:

• Active and valid School Psychologist license in Alabama is required
• Experience working in K-12 educational settings, delivering school-based psychological services
• Familiarity with IEPs, assessment, and compensatory service delivery
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams
• Able to commit to an in-person, on-site role during scheduled ESY hours

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver compensatory school psychology services as designated by student IEPs and district requirements
• Conduct assessments, provide counseling, and write detailed documentation of services provided
• Liaise with educators and support staff to facilitate student engagement and progress
• Support student success for all assigned caseloads during the ESY session
• Maintain accurate records and ensure all services are performed in compliance with state and district guidelines
