SUPPLY CHAIN BUYER
Automation Personnel Services is seeking a Buyer for a well-established company based in Huntsville, AL. In this role, you will have the opportunity to build your purchasing and supply chain expertise while contributing to a collaborative team focused on operational excellence, continuous improvement, and long-term career growth. Pay Rate
$24.00 per hour

Schedule and Hours
Monday through Friday

7:00AM- 4:00PM or 8:00Am- 5:00PM

Supply Chain Buyer Duties and Responsibilities

• Manage current Supplier relationships and drive continuous improvements for best-in-class performance.
• Discover and develop new strategic Suppliers.
• Develop and implement risk management processes to support Production.
• Track markets and purchase materials at competitive prices.
• Ensure procurement of quality materials.
• Meet inventory goals by procuring optimal quantities using forecasts and risk mitigations.

Supply Chain Buyer Qualifications and Requirements

• Strong communication skills and ability to solve problems with internal and external teams.
• Experience with plastics, grinding, and extrusion operations.
• Exposure supplier negotiations, markets, contracts, and pricing agreements.
• Strong attention to detail and follow-through in a fast-paced environment.
• CPSM, CSCP, or CPIM Certification.
