Key Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures
• Ensure all electrical work complies with local, state, and national electrical codes
• Troubleshoot electrical issues and perform necessary repairs
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams
• Inspect electrical systems and components for hazards or defects
• Test electrical systems using appropriate tools and equipment
• Collaborate with contractors, construction teams, and other trades
• Maintain accurate records of work performed
• Follow all safety procedures and regulations

Qualifications

• Valid electrician license in the state of Alabama (or ability to obtain)
• Minimum of 2+ years of electrical experience (varies by level)
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, tools, and safety standards
• Ability to read technical documents and blueprints
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Physical ability to lift heavy equipment and work in various environments

Preferred Skills

• Experience with both residential and commercial projects
• Familiarity with NEC (National Electrical Code)
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Work Environment

• Indoor and outdoor job sites
• May require working in confined spaces or at heights
• Exposure to varying weather conditions
• Standard workweek with occasional overtime or on-call work
