We are seeking an Entry-Level Accountant to join our team in Huntsville, AL. This role will provide general accounting, accounts payable, and payroll support to the accounting team. Responsible for the routine data entry, document preparation, and assisting with monthly financial processes. The position requires strong attention to detail, accuracy, and the ability to work well with other departments.

Key Responsibilities

• Enter invoices, expense reports, and basic financial data into Deltek Costpoint.
• Assist with vendor file updates, invoice coding, and weekly AP payment preparation.
• Help review billing backup documents and verify invoice accuracy.
• Support AR follow-up by gathering information and preparing documentation
• Assist with reconciliations, journal entry support, and month-end file organization
• Help collect payroll timesheets, maintain payroll records, and support payroll processing tasks.
• Prepare, scan, and maintain accounting files for audit readiness.
• Provide general administrative support to the accounting team as needed.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Ability to learn Deltek Costpoint, QuickBooks, and accounting procedures.
