Job Title: Building Maintenance Technician

Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled Building Maintenance Technician to join our facilities team at Wilks Tire & Battery Service. This role is integral to ensuring the safety, functionality, and aesthetic appeal of our buildings through proactive maintenance and repair of various systems.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine inspections of buildings and systems, identifying maintenance needs and safety hazards
• Perform repairs and maintenance tasks on a variety of systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general carpentry
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies, ensuring minimal disruption to building operations
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment repairs, and inventory of supplies
• Collaborate with vendors and contractors for specialized repairs and services as needed
• Assist in the implementation of preventive maintenance programs to extend the life cycle of building components

Required and Preferred Qualifications

Required:

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training in building maintenance or a related field is preferred
• 3+ years of experience in building maintenance or facilities management
• Strong knowledge of various building systems and maintenance procedures
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues
• Valid driver's license and the ability to travel to multiple sites as needed

Preferred:

• Certifications in HVAC, plumbing, or electrical systems
• Experience with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS)
• Knowledge of safety regulations and building codes
