We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Temporary Cook to prepare and serve delicious, nutritious meals for residents in a senior living facility. The ideal candidate will possess strong culinary skills, a commitment to food safety, and the ability to work efficiently in a professional kitchen environment. This role is crucial in ensuring a positive dining experience for our residents.

Cook Details:

• Temp-to-Hire position
• $19.00 / hour
• Full Time work available
• Weekend work required
• Various shifts available ( Sunday through Sunday )

• Execute daily meal preparation and cooking duties for senior residents according to established recipes, menus, and dietary guidelines.
• Ensure all food is prepared safely, hygienically, and to the highest quality standards, considering specific dietary restrictions and preferences.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workstation and contribute to the overall cleanliness and upkeep of the commercial kitchen.
• Adhere to all health, safety, and sanitation regulations, including HACCP principles.
• Assist with inventory management, including proper storage, rotation, and labeling of food items.
• Collaborate effectively with other kitchen staff to ensure timely and efficient meal service.

Cook Qualifications:

• Must have previous experience in a full-service cooking position.
• Proven ability in food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen operations.
• Ability to stand for extended periods, up to 8 hours per shift.
• Strong understanding of kitchen equipment operation and maintenance.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Ability to work both independently and as a valued team member.
• Flexibility to accommodate rotating weekend shifts as required by operational needs.
