Job Summary

The Transportation Associate aids in the coordinating and scheduling of safe transportation of our products, regularly negotiating with, and auditing carriers, and communicating with suppliers.

Responsibilities and Duties
  • Coordination with Outbound Trucks and Small Package teams to ensure timely, accurate shipment
  • Freight method confirmation with Sales and Order Management (including revenue driving PPA opportunities)
  • Monitoring SEA inbound shipments through the [email protected] email
  • Making sure Data between Piyovi (TMS) and Rubicon (ERP) is accurate
  • Freight invoice auditing, discrepancy resolutions, and payment approvals
  • Filing and tracking shipment claims, including video and packaging research
  • Managing carrier relationships and rate negotiations
  • Export control and employee training
  • Cross-team communication and report generation
  • Implementation of shipping process improvements /Local shipments
  • Packaging standards across shipping commodities and cost savings
  • Freight shipment entry into Piyovi and customer systems
  • Freight shipment entry into Piyovi and customer systems
  • Communication with Sales and Freight Forwarders
  • Preparation of international documents (SLI/SEDs)
  • Packaging and damage prevention standards
  • Transitioning current collect customers to PPA (Prepay and Add)
  • Ongoing projects with automation and proactive shipping strategies
Qualifications and Skills
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Bachelor’s degree in transportation management, logistics, project management, or similar preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal collaboration skills
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Able to effectively interact with a variety of personnel at all organizational levels
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to squat, bend, and lift. Can lift 5-15 lbs., and occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand on a stool as necessary
