Position Overview
We are hiring a MIG Welder for a fast-paced manufacturing facility in Anniston, AL. This role involves welding and fitting metal components, reading blueprints, and producing high-quality welds for hollow metal door production.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform MIG welding on structural steel and metal components
- Read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and fabrication drawings
- Fit, align, and assemble metal parts prior to welding
- Inspect welds to ensure quality, strength, and accuracy
- Use measuring tools (tape measure, square, level) for precise work
- Perform grinding, cutting, and finishing as needed
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
Qualifications
- 3+ years of MIG welding and fitting experience
- Strong blueprint reading and weld symbol knowledge
- Ability to fit and fabricate independently
- Experience with structural steel or heavy fabrication
- Strong attention to detail and quality
- Ability to pass a weld test and measurement test
- Must pass a drug screen and background check
Schedule & Overtime
- 1st Shift: Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM (10-hour shifts)
- Overtime: Available on Saturdays & Sundays
Pay & Benefits
$17.00/hr (Depending on Experience)
