Reporting to the president/CEO, the Concrete Foreman will be responsible for managing a variety of concrete related tasks on the construction sites, ensuring quality control, and adhering to safety standards. For consideration, in addition to prior experience working as a concrete foreman, this person must have the drive and energy to work in the field with the team, ensure all assigned projects are completed in the allotted timeframe with the standards of the company, and establish the processes and controls needed to maximize company growth and profitability.

Essential Responsibilities

Assist in the preparation and pouring of concrete for various structures including foundations, walls, slabs, sidewalks, and paving.

Operate and maintain tools and equipment used in concrete work.

Follow project plans and specifications to ensure accuracy in measurements and quality of work.

Conduct quality control checks on finished products to meet project standards.

Collaborate with superintendents and team members to ensure efficient workflow on the construction site.

Manage all aspects of Concrete foundations, Site and Tilting - set-up, application, finishing, clean up.

Coordinate daily tasks according to priorities and plans, adjusting as necessary due to weather, supply delivery and personnel.

Read and interpret site plans, with a strong level of skill relative to understanding elevations and grades.

Direct and mentor a team of equipment operators and laborers, promoting a strong work ethic and teamwork.

Identify and resolve challenges in the field to keep projects moving efficiently.

Ensure proper and safe use and maintenance of heavy equipment & tools.

Ensure that all safety precautions are adhered to and that all workers are following safety guidelines.

Monitor the progress of the construction project and make sure that it is on schedule.

Resolve on-site issues and conflicts and report on progress to manager.

Inspect the quality of work done, making sure that it meets the project standards.

Organize and maintain equipment and tools

Monitor employees for compliance with policies and operating practices, and initiate action for non-compliance in consistent and fair manners.

Respond to service disruptions within area of responsibility, handle promptly and provide written and oral reports.

Work closely with Management & Subcontractors to ensure project expectations are met.
