Job Title: Plumber Job Description

Join our team as a plumber working on commercial job sites, primarily hospitals and schools, where you will be responsible for underground plumbing and inwall plumbing. This role involves tasks such as underground plumbing, copper pipe work, cast iron piping, PVC installation, soldering and brazing, hanging pipes, gluing, pressure testing, and interpreting plumbing specifications and drawings.

• Perform underground plumbing and inwall plumbing on commercial job sites.
• Work with materials such as copper pipe, cast iron, PVC, and mechanical piping.
• Conduct soldering and brazing tasks.
• Hang, fit, and install cast iron pipes.
• Read and interpret blueprints and drawings for mechanical and plumbing projects.
• Perform plumbing work for commercial waste and stormwater management.
• Conduct pressure testing and ensure the integrity of plumbing installations.

• Proficiency in plumbing and construction tasks.
• Ability to read and work off blueprints and drawings.
• 10+ years of experience with hanging, fitting, and installing cast iron pipes.
• 10+ years of soldering and brazing copper pipes.
• 10+ years of experience in installing mechanical and screw pipes.
• 10+ years of performing plumbing work for underground and inwall applications.
• 10+ years of experience with commercial waste and stormwater management.

• Ability to install pipes and perform basic plumbing and pipe fitting practices.
• Experience with commercial drainage and commercial storm/waste water systems.
• Skill in installing and hanging various pipes.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Birmingham, AL.

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $40.00/hr.
