Systems Technology & Research, Inc (STaR) is seeking a Government Travel Coordinator responsible for all aspects of coordinating, tracking, and finalizing approved Government travel. This includes conversing with employees through multiple communication channels to determine if destination, mode of transportation, travel dates, financial considerations and accommodations are in accordance with established Joint Travel Regulations. Position is in Huntsville, AL.

Job Responsibilities/ Duties

• Conversing with employees through multiple communication channels to determine if destination, mode of transportation, travel dates, financial considerations and accommodations are in accordance with established Joint Travel Regulations
• Answer calls and emails promptly from employees who are requesting new travel arrangements or changes to existing itineraries
• Utilize established tools to assist in the booking and issuing of airline, hotel, car, and other reservations, accurately and efficiently
• Check queues daily to ensure accuracy and that all travel requests are complete
• Follow STaR policies, procedures, and approved workflows on how to service travelers
• Other duties as assigned

Required and Preferred Qualifications/ Skills

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Experience booking official Government travel is preferred
• Understanding of Federal/Joint Travel Regulations and Fly America Act
• Strong computer and typing skills, which include the ability to navigate quickly between programs and using shortcut keys
• Experience with Unanet and Concur preferred but not required
• Ability to consistently deliver excellent customer service, internally and externally
• Experience with Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Word, Excel)
• Strong attention to detail with emphasis on accuracy and quality
• Highly self-motivated and able to manage multiple priorities simultaneously and complete tasks with minimal supervision
• Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities
• Able to present a professional and positive demeanor with internal and external customers/clients and work cooperatively
• Able to maintain confidentiality of company and employee information
