Job Description

We are seeking a skilled machinist to join our team. The successful candidate will work in a manufacturing environment with both manual and CNC machinery.

Responsibilities

• Operate manual and CNC machinery to produce precision parts and components.
• Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to determine the specifications of the parts.
• Set up, adjust, and operate machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, and grinders.
• Use calipers and micrometers to measure and verify dimensions of machined parts.
• Maintain and troubleshoot machinery to ensure optimal performance.
• Program CNC machines to perform various machining operations.
• Select and install appropriate tooling for machining tasks.
• Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area.

Essential Skills

• Experience with manual and CNC machining.
• Proficiency in operating lathes and milling machines.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Skilled in using calipers and micrometers for precise measurements.
• Knowledge of machine shop practices and procedures.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with CNC programming.
• Familiarity with tooling selection and installation.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Montgomery, Alabama.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $28.00/hr.
