Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This opportunity is for a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist to provide specialized speech services to students across multiple K-12 school sites in Birmingham, Alabama. The position is a contract role spanning the 2025-2026 school year, allowing you to impact a diverse Special Education population while fostering student communication development.

• Duration: August 6, 2025 May 23, 2026 (school year)
• Caseload: 40-60 students
• Student Population: K-12 Special Education
• Multiple school sites within the district
• Contract position supporting speech therapy needs across grades

Qualifications:

• Active Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license in Alabama
• Certification as SLP-CCC, SLP-CFY, or SLP-School
• Experience delivering speech therapy services to K-12 students, preferably within Special Education programs
• Strong organizational and communication skills to manage caseload efficiently across multiple schools

Responsibilities:

• Provide speech-language evaluations, individualized therapy, and progress monitoring for assigned students
• Collaborate with educators, parents, and support staff to develop and implement effective intervention plans
• Maintain up-to-date documentation compliant with school and state requirements
• Travel between multiple school sites as needed to fulfill service obligations
