Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist position is available for the 2025-2026 school year, starting in August. This contract role spans the entire school year and involves providing speech therapy services at two elementary school sites in Athens, AL. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of school-based speech therapy practices and experience working within an educational setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech therapy services to elementary students in a school environment
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and other support staff to develop individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Conduct evaluations, document progress, and maintain detailed records in compliance with school guidelines
- Communicate effectively with students, families, and school personnel to promote student success
Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Speech Pathology or Communication Disorders
- State Speech-Language Pathology licensure
- Prior school-based experience is preferred but not required
- Strong knowledge of speech therapy techniques applicable in educational settings
