Marketing Intern

Location : Huntsville, AL SUMMARY :
Lakeland Fire + Safety’s Marketing team is seeking a summer 2026 Marketing Intern to support a variety of marketing initiatives including event marketing, campaign development, content creation, digital marketing, and product marketing activities. This internship is structured to provide hands-on exposure to multiple areas of marketing while offering opportunities to collaborate cross-functionally with sales, product management, and marketing team members.
This Huntsville, AL-based role will work in-office with team members four days a week and remotely on Fridays. The internship is expected to begin mid-May 2026 and continue for a 3-month period. The ideal candidate is organized, collaborative, eager to learn, and interested in gaining broad marketing experience within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Lakeland Fire + Safety is a publicly held producer of quality, high-performance protective garments for fire and industrial markets in both domestic and international sectors. Our protective clothing products are proven on the job every day and are routinely specified for workers in the fire, chemical, petrochemical, healthcare, automative, aerospace, glass, cement, and other industries where hazardous materials must be handled.
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to :
- Assist with planning and execution of marketing campaigns, including email marketing, lead tracking, campaign reporting, and CRM updates
- Provide support for trade shows, customer events, webinars, and internal marketing initiatives, including logistics coordination, promotional materials, and post-event follow-up
- Collaborate with team members to develop and organize marketing content such as presentations, social media posts, email copy, blog content, and sales enablement materials
- Assist with maintaining marketing assets, databases, and project tracking tools to support efficient team operations
- Help coordinate cross-functional projects with sales, product management, and other internal stakeholders
- Support basic reporting and analysis of marketing activities and campaign performance
- Participate in team meetings, brainstorming sessions, and collaborative marketing projects to gain exposure to multiple areas of marketing
- Take on special projects and additional responsibilities as assigned to support evolving business and marketing needs
- Excellent communication skills with our internal team and our potential customers, including email, in-person and video meetings, and phone calls
- Strong interpersonal skills to cultivate effective communication, navigate interactions, and build relationships
- Desire to learn across multiple areas of marketing in a collaborative, fast-paced environment
- Interest in developing broad marketing experience across campaigns, events, content, and product marketing
- Curiosity and a willingness to jump into new projects, ask questions, and continuously learn
- Currently pursuing a degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, Public Relations, or a related field
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail and time management skills
- Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively in a team environment
- Interest in learning about multiple areas of marketing
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications; experience with marketing platforms, CRM systems, or design tools is a plus but not required
- Previous internship, campus organization, or project experience is a plus
