Medical Cash Poster

work hours: 8 AM - 5 PM
education: High School Responsibilities What you will do:
- Payment Posting: Accurately apply payments from insurance carriers and patients to the correct accounts.
- Remittance Reconciliation: Ensure all cash postings align with journal entries and remittance advices.
- Account Adjustments: Process and verify account corrections, including overpayments, denials, and adjustments.
- Reporting: Assist with balancing daily cash reports and generating invoices.
- EOB Interpretation: Review and interpret complex insurance Explanations of Benefits to ensure proper adjudication.
- Administrative Tasks: Scan checks for records and verify bank deposits to maintain financial integrity.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in Cash Posting or Medical Billing.
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
- Technical Proficiency: strong computer skills, specifically with data entry and financial/medical billing software.
- Analytical Skills: Basic math skills and a high level of accuracy/attention to detail are essential.
- Communication: Ability to communicate effectively with management and clients to resolve billing inquiries.
- Industry Knowledge: Solid understanding of insurance payment processes and medical terminology.
