Degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Step into a dynamic role for the 2026-2027 school year supporting elementary students as a Speech-Language Pathologist. This contract position is located near Pelham, AL and offers the opportunity to make a positive impact while working alongside a collaborative team of professionals. You’ll provide therapy and assessment at an elementary school, with the potential to serve one or two additional sites depending on caseload size. A flexible weekly schedule (28 hours over 4-5 days) allows you to balance meaningful work with your personal life.
Qualifications:
- Active Alabama SLP license required
- Must hold ALSDE SLP certification
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred
- School-based SLP experience or a strong interest in working in education settings
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a supportive team
Responsibilities:
- Manage a caseload of elementary-aged students (exact number TBD)
- Conduct evaluations, design therapy plans, and provide direct treatment
- Develop and implement IEP goals in collaboration with educators and families
- Document student progress and maintain accurate records
- Offer support across one primary elementary site, with travel to one or two nearby schools as needed
- Consult with teachers, administrators, and families to ensure student success
