Part Time - Administrative Assistant

Cypress Employment has a client in Mobile looking for a part time Administrative Assistant.

• The position is part-time, approx. 20 hours/week to start.
• Preferred hours M-F 8am-12pm; as early as 7:30-11:30am or as late as 9am-1pm might work as well.
• Pay range to start: $18-20/hour, depending on candidate.

Some clerical and bookkeeping experience is preferred, but not required.Candidate need not have particular Accounting expertise, but will be involved with booking/entering/posting routine transactions every day. More than anything, the right candidate is comfortable with a variety of typical office functions, is cheerful and flexible, and enjoys a role in support of sales and revenue-producing activities by attention to detail in our ERP/Accounting system and best practices/SOPs.

All required skills can be taught/learned. Resources, supervision, and help will be provided to ensure candidate is comfortable with all duties and can accomplish with minimal supervision thereafter. Confidence and initiative on the part of the candidate are hard requirements.

To begin with, Administrative Assistant will report directly to the President. Once established and performing well in the position, candidate may report to Operations Manager.

Duties may include the following, as well as other tasks required from time to time:

• Review and posting of daily Sales Invoices to Customers
• Preparation of deposits
• Posting payments against Customer AR balances
• Deposit using in-office bank scan/interface
• Monitoring AR email for Customer ACH deposits to post
• Processing of Vendor activity
• Receipt of Goods transactions
• Posting of Vendor invoices
• Weekly Check/ACH runs
• Phone/Receptionist duties
• General Admin duties

After a trial period of 90 days, permanent employment on the client's payroll is a possibility, though is not guaranteed.

Similarly, increased pay rate and hours as well as benefits may be a possibility as well, depending on candidate's demonstrated capabilities as well as eagerness to take on and master additional duties as they arise.
