Salary Range: $72K - $124K
Sign On Bonus: $10,000 sign on bonus for two-year commitment
Relocation : Partial
We are seeking an experienced and driven Nurse Manager to lead our Labor and Delivery (L&D) team. This is a vital leadership role that blends hands-on clinical expertise with strong administrative and team management skills. You’ll oversee day-to-day operations of the L&D unit, ensuring the delivery of safe, high-quality, and compassionate care for mothers and babies.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage all clinical and administrative aspects of the Labor & Delivery department
- Ensure consistent 24/7 staffing coverage and manage daily operational flow
- Mentor, evaluate, and develop nursing staff, ensuring clinical excellence and engagement
- Promote collaborative practice between nursing, providers, and ancillary departments
- Drive performance improvement initiatives and maintain compliance with hospital policies and patient safety standards
- Foster an environment that prioritizes patient and family-centered care
- Serve as a resource for obstetric emergencies and L&D-specific protocols
Requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited nursing school
- BSN required , or commitment to obtain if not already held
- Minimum 5 years of Labor & Delivery RN experience
- Leadership experience in a nursing or clinical setting
- In-depth understanding of OR procedures and L&D protocols
- Current and unrestricted RN license (no disciplinary actions)
The following certifications are required:
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
- AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring
- Experience in other critical care areas such as ICU
- 10+ years of nursing experience
- Strong decision-making skills and the ability to work independently using sound judgment
