Make a meaningful difference supporting students as a Special Education Teacher on a contract basis near Oneonta, AL. Key Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education teaching certification
- Experience designing and implementing IEPs
- Effective classroom and behavior management skills
- Knowledge of differentiated instruction and accommodations for diverse learning needs
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities
- A passion for fostering growth in every student
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instruction based on student IEPs, adapting lessons as needed for individual strengths and needs
- Assess student progress, update records, and participate in IEP meetings
- Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, and families to support student success
- Create a safe, welcoming classroom atmosphere that encourages engagement and learning
- Monitor, document, and report on student performance and compliance goals
- Employ evidence-based interventions and teaching strategies
- Foster positive relationships, advocate for students, and support a culture of inclusion
