**Job Title: Maintenance Technician** Job Description We are seeking a dedicated Maintenance Technician for a foundry plant located in Albertville, AL. This direct placement role offers the opportunity to join a unionized workforce specializing in metal melting, casting molds, and painting operations. Responsibilities + Perform mechanical and electrical troubleshooting on foundry equipment. + Maintain and repair machinery used in melting, casting, and painting processes. + Work safely in a non-climate-controlled, high-heat, and dirty environment. + Respond to breakdowns and perform preventive maintenance. Essential Skills + Proven experience in both mechanical and electrical troubleshooting. + Comfortable working at heights and in hot, dirty environments. + Ability to provide steel-toe boots. + Capable of hands-on work in a fast-paced industrial setting. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Experience with multicraft maintenance, hydraulics, pneumatics, and blueprint reading. + Proficiency in welding, roller, conveyor systems, gearboxes, switches, and 480-volt systems. + Skilled in electrical troubleshooting, 3-phase systems, repair, PLC troubleshooting, motors, drives, and heat pumps. Work Environment Shifts available from Monday to Friday include 1st Shift (7:00 AM - 3:30 PM), 2nd Shift (3:00 PM - 11:30 PM), and 3rd Shift (11:00 PM - 7:30 AM). The work environment is non-climate-controlled with high temperatures and potentially dirty conditions. Personal protective equipment, including a mask, high-visibility vest, and hard hat, is provided, except for steel-toe boots, which employees must supply.
