Transportation Engineer / Project Manager – Civil Engineering (PE Required)

About the Role

A growing engineering consulting firm is seeking a licensed Professional Engineer (PE) to serve as a Transportation Engineer and Project Manager. This position blends hands-on civil engineering work with client-facing project management responsibilities. You will collaborate with internal teams across offices to deliver transportation and traffic projects while helping grow the firm’s regional services.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage transportation projects from proposal through completion.
• Coordinate with internal teams to ensure technical accuracy and project success.
• Track project budgets, schedules, and performance metrics.
• Prepare proposals for new traffic engineering opportunities.
• Serve as the primary point of contact with clients and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Active Professional Engineer (PE) license – required
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering – required
• Project management experience in a consulting environment
• Experience with traffic engineering concepts or roadway design
• Proficiency with CADD software
• Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills
• Proven ability to manage project budgets, schedules, and scope
