Mobile, AL: Flexicrew Technical Services (FTS) is seeking a skilled Payroll/Accounts Payable Clerk to support payroll processing, manage vendor invoice payments, and assist with daily accounting operations for a customer in the Mobile, AL area.

Essential Duties

• Process and ensure timely and accurate payment of vendor invoices.
• Review and verify general ledger account coding for invoices and make corrections as needed.
• Process payments to ensure eligibility for applicable cash discounts.
• Prepare and assist with employee payroll processing.
• Review employee work hours and timekeeping records for accuracy.
• Assist with preparation and filing of sales tax returns when applicable.
• Maintain purchasing order systems and assist with ordering office supplies when required.
• Maintain and manage office postage systems as needed.
• Review payroll changes and updates for accuracy prior to processing.
• Maintain accurate financial documentation and records in accordance with company policies.
• Establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, supervisors, administrative staff, and the public.
• Follow all company and departmental policies and procedures.
• Perform additional accounting or administrative duties as assigned.

Requirements / Skills

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of two (2) years of experience in accounts payable, payroll processing, or related accounting functions.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy when preparing financial documents and payroll records.
• Proficiency with office equipment and common accounting or timekeeping systems.
• Ability to review financial data, invoices, and payroll changes for accuracy.
• Strong organizational, planning, and time management skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively and maintain professional working relationships.
• Demonstrated reliability, professionalism, and ethical work practices.

Physical Requirements

• Work is primarily performed in a sedentary office environment.
• Frequent sitting, typing, and computer use.
• Occasional standing, walking, bending, reaching, and lifting up to 10 pounds.
• Ability to concentrate on detailed tasks in an office setting with routine noise and activity.
• Ability to perform repetitive tasks for extended periods.
